Job summary

Pita Way is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a fast-growing multi-unit restaurant organization from our Waterford, Michigan headquarters. This on-site role reports to the HR Director and collaborates with leadership to manage employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will balance employee advocacy with business needs, handling investigations, documentation, and coaching across approximately 55 restaurants and two additional concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of Human Resources experience in generalist or similar role.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Experience with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR resource for managers, leaders, and employees across locations.
• Support recruiting, postings, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
• Assist with payroll-related tasks and timekeeping accuracy.
• Maintain HR records, HRIS data, and documentation accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with wage-hour regulations and employment laws.
• Coach leaders on documentation, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Support training, policy updates, and HR process improvements.
• Assist with multi-location HR initiatives and new-location openings.
