Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a Practice Coordinator to support our Hospital Medicine team on-site. You will help ensure patient encounters are accurately documented, captured, and submitted for billing, while supporting clinicians, leaders, and hospital staff.

The role emphasizes compliance, organization, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or hospital administration is preferred.
• Experience handling patient information and documentation.
• Proficiency with common office software and record-keeping tools.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Hospital Medicine practice.
• Perform patient reconciliation, record processing, and documentation review.
• Ensure patient encounters are accurately captured and submitted for billing.
• Coordinate physician documentation and assist with record completion and compliance.
• Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information to support billing activities.
• Prepare and distribute reports for clinicians and leadership.
• Support monthly reporting initiatives and participate in quarterly operational meetings.
• Collaborate with clinicians, hospital staff, and TeamHealth leaders to support performance.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Assist with data collection and administrative projects that support operational success.
