Job summary

Human Touch Home Health Care in Washington, DC is seeking a qualified Home Healthcare Scheduler to join our team. You will coordinate referrals, intake, insurance verification, authorizations, scheduling, and administrative duties to support high-quality home health services.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication as you help clinicians and clients access care. This is a full-time, in-person position with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience, preferably in home health, home care, healthcare administration, public health, or related setting.
• Previous experience with intake, authorizations, insurance verification, scheduling, medical records, or healthcare administration preferred.
• Strong understanding of HMO, Medicaid, and Medicare payors and reimbursement processes.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake, authorization, insurance verification, eligibility, scheduling, and related administrative duties.
• Answer client inquiries, receive referrals, and assist with coordinating home care services.
• Obtain and accurately document patient insurance, demographic, and referral information.
• Identify and verify insurance coverage for home health care services.
• Maintain communication with hospital and insurance personnel and provide information regarding organizational services and coverage requirements.
