Job summary

GlobalMed Logistix, LLC (GMLx) is seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to serve as the on-site IT resource for Salt Lake City facilities and surrounding locations. You will work with a small IT team, handling office and warehouse technology, and providing quick, clear support to minimize delays in surgical case shipments.

Qualifications

• One to three years of hands-on IT support experience.
• Associate degree in an information technology field or equivalent.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Confident troubleshooting of Windows computers and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Basic understanding of computer networking.
• Discretion with confidential information and HIPAA considerations.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT contact for site staff and visitors.
• Explain issues in plain language and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Train employees on company software, equipment, and security practices.
• Provide remote and on-site IT support across locations as needed.
• Log and manage support requests in the ticketing system and escalate when necessary.
• Set up new hires and recover access for departing employees.
• Support warehouse software and hardware used for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Configure and inventory laptops, desktops, phones, and tablets; track equipment.
• Manage building cameras and badge access; support conference room techs.
• Escort vendors and contractors and verify their work.
