Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a Security Officer to safeguard facilities, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to visitors, patients, and staff. You will conduct weapon screening at public entrances using approved technology and respond to emergencies with calm professionalism.

Requirements include at least a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and 2 years of security experience preferred; SORA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience preferred.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• SORA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols and monitor buildings, grounds, and property.
• Utilize weapon screening with handheld wands and EVOLV system.
• Provide directions, escort visitors, vendors, patients, and staff as needed.
• Respond to emergency situations and alert law enforcement when required.
