Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in dispatcher/logistics roles in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Richmond, VA and surrounding area.
• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and dispatch software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage scheduled and on-demand courier runs.
• Schedule, coordinate, and dispatch transportation requests to meet service requirements.
• Monitor TMS for orders, delays, and deliveries; resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate courier coverage and workload distribution.
• Verify pickups/deliveries and maintain status updates in the TMS.
• Provide delivery confirmations and documentation to hospitals and customers.
• Maintain end-of-shift reports and handoffs to the manager.
• Escalate service issues to management when needed.
