Job summary

VALiNTRY is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to oversee financial operations for a growing healthcare organization specializing in behavioral health services. This newly created role manages a multi-entity operation, owning financial reporting, accounting operations, revenue cycle oversight, cash management, budgeting, and internal controls.

The organization emphasizes stability and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license, preferably Florida, or eligibility for licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a US institution.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 3 years in Controller/Accounting Manager roles.
• Direct healthcare accounting experience.
• Experience with private-pay patients and commercial insurance reimbursement in past 5 years.
• Understanding of intercompany transactions and US GAAP.
• Strong Excel proficiency and process improvement track record.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close and consolidated financial statements across entities.
• Maintain cost allocation methodologies across entities and services.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain schedules for assets, leases, and debt.
• Oversee revenue cycle, payer reimbursement, and cash posting.
• Develop budgets and rolling cash forecasts; manage AP and disbursement controls.
• Prepare monthly executive reports with variances and KPIs.
