Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Health and Safety professional to promote a strong safety culture in our Minnesota operations. You will support inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions to maintain regulatory compliance.

You will lead by example, report hazards promptly, and help implement effective controls to protect employees while contributing to quality and operational excellence. This role emphasizes training, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
• A two year University degree in Industrial Safety or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture by following HSE policies and leading by example.
• Support compliance and risk reduction through inspections, audits, risk assessments, and investigations.
• Identify and respond to hazards using stop-work practices when major injury hazards are present.
• Maintain HSE documentation and ensure policies and reporting requirements are followed.
• Use data to improve safety performance and identify trends and actions.
• Improve safety awareness through effective communication of expectations and procedures.
• Contribute to quality and operational excellence by following standard work and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and teamwork through training and development initiatives.
