Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and practices.
• Regulatory compliance requirements (OSHA, etc.) and program implementation.
• Foundations of an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS).
• Approach to risk management and hazard analysis in engineering settings.
• Experience with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Understanding of system safety concepts and hazard analysis in design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with applying engineering controls to reduce hazards and risk in the facility/site.
• Help identify hazardous conditions and practices and support evaluation.
• Develop basic hazard control designs, procedures, and programs.
• Administer and communicate hazard control programs.
• Interpret and apply internal and external standards to support hazard reduction and compliance.
