Job summary

Osage Nation Environmental Solutions, LLC (ONES) seeks an Environmental Planner at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, to provide environmental planning, NEPA/EIAP analyses, and resources expertise for DoW policy and Pacific region projects.

The role supports senior DoD environmental programs, coordinating with USPACOM and other stakeholders, traveling across the Pacific AOR as needed, and ensuring MILCON and troop projects meet environmental requirements on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in biological sciences, ecology, conservation science or related field.
• At least three years of natural resources and/or NEPA experience.
• Ability to prioritize, schedule and manage work independently.
• Excellent communication, public speaking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access, and applicable government databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance supporting installation, regional and enterprise environmental program management, natural and cultural resource programs, and water quality initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate environmental planning for installations, posture projects and Pacific Deterrence Initiative (PDI) projects across the PACAF AOR.
• Ensure environmental requirements, particularly natural and cultural resources, are identified in advance to enable MILCON and troop construction projects to be executed on schedule.
• Facilitate, track and coordinate environmental requirements with stakeholders across USPACOM, JTF Micronesia, Joint Region Marianas and Joint Posture Management Office.
• Assist with host nation environmental planning, site and private land access, regulator coordination and mitigation development.
• Notify leadership when environmental requirements may impact MILCON timelines and provide recommendations.
