Job summary

Randstad seeks a Lab Tech III for a long-term, on-site contract in North Chicago, IL within a GLP setting. The role balances 80% hands-on lab work and 20% analytical reporting, collaborating with a senior supervisor to support a dynamic technical team.

Requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in a related science, hands-on HPLC experience, and experience in a pharmaceutical or GLP environment. Empower software familiarity is preferred, with strong documentation and cGMP compliance expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven hands-on HPLC experience and general laboratory skills (pipetting, weighing, solution preparation).
• Professional background in the pharmaceutical industry or a GLP laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of bioanalytical testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing, formulation work, and bioanalytical assays (SEC, CEX, HIC, RP-HPLC).
• Utilize particle testing techniques, UV/IR/Fluorescence spectroscopy, pH measurement, Karl Fisher, and viscosity evaluations.
• Operate HPLC instrumentation using Empower software to capture, analyze, and interpret consistent analytical data.
• Maintain complete and compliant documentation of experiments using an Electronic Lab Notebook (eLN).
• Support daily lab maintenance, standard safety practices, and strict adherence to cGMP regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot experimental setups, laboratory equipment, and instrumentation as needed.
