Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a motivated Scientist I for a 12-month onsite contract in North Chicago, IL. The role supports commercial and pipeline small-molecule development through analytical testing, data interpretation, and GMP-compliant documentation.

Responsibilities include performing routine analytical testing, applying HPLC/GC/Mass Spec techniques, troubleshooting methods, and presenting results in team meetings. Requires a Bachelors in Chemistry and at least 2 years of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related Science/Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory-based experience.
• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical analytics.
• Hands-on with HPLC, GC, MS, spectroscopy and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical chemistry testing to generate accurate, reliable results.
• Support commercial and pipeline small-molecule development projects.
• Utilize analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, titration, spectroscopy and related instrumentation.
• Author and maintain scientific protocols, reports and documentation.
• Present experimental findings and analytical results in team meetings.
