Job summary

K3-Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician III to support a Bioanalytical laboratory team with routine and non-routine analytical testing.

The role is approximately 80% hands-on lab work and 20% documentation and support, with a chemistry/biochemistry/biology background preferred. The candidate should have 1–3 years of hands-on lab experience, be detail-oriented, and be able to work 100% onsite in Lake County, IL.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Experience with pipetting, sample preparation, solution/standard preparation, weighing and centrifugation.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Lake County, IL.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on lab activities including pipetting, sample preparation, weighing, solution/standard preparation, and centrifugation.
• Support scientists with routine and non-routine analytical testing.
• Perform and learn various analytical techniques.
• Support HPLC testing and Empower when applicable.
• Maintain reagents, glassware, equipment, and general lab organization.
• Document experiments and results using ELN/eLN.
• Follow laboratory safety, SOP, GLP/GMP, and quality requirements.

Required

• BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 1-3 years of hands‑on laboratory experience; strong recent graduates may be considered.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Lake County, IL.

• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
• Bioanalytical/analytical testing
• Protein/biologics or small‑molecule experience
• GLP/GMP/cGMP experience
• SEC, CEX, chromatography, or spectroscopy

Note: HPLC and Empower are preferred but can be trained. SEC/CEX and pharma/GLP/GMP experience are helpful but not required.
