Job summary

Orion Solutions Group is seeking a Controller to lead the finance function for a fast-growing logistics provider. You will own GAAP reporting, cash flow, and profitability analysis while partnering with ownership and executive leadership to drive pricing and efficiency.

The role focuses on building scalable systems to support rapid growth, bridging operations and finance, and ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. CPA preferred, with logistics experience highly desired.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in logistics-specific financial mechanics (revenue recognition, carrier accruals, margin analysis).
• Proven experience negotiating and managing credit facilities, debt covenants, and banking relationships.
• Background in high-growth, fast-paced, transactional environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Own brokerage-specific revenue recognition, carrier accruals, margin reporting, and load-level profitability.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and treasury operations.
• Partner closely with operations to translate financial insights into pricing, margin, and efficiency improvements.
• Build scalable financial systems and processes to support rapid growth.
