Job summary

Serco Inc. in Hawaii seeks a Geo Info Systems Technician Junior to support the CESPAC contract at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

You will help maintain GeoBase datasets for airfields, utilities, facilities, environmental assets, and real property to guide daily operations and investment decisions. You will assist with transferring records from Navy to Air Force systems (ACES, NexGen IT), validate data, and produce geospatial products for civil engineering planning.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least one year of GIS experience.
• Experience working with geospatial data for facilities, utilities, pavements, or real property.
• Experience supporting GIS data in civil-engineering or asset-management systems (ACES, NexGen IT, TRIRIGA, BUILDER, PAVER).
• Ability to follow data-management, quality-control, and documentation procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to work on-site at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Monday–Friday.
• Ability to obtain and maintain installation access and satisfy customer access requirements.
• Ability to complete OSHA 10-Hour Construction training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining GeoBase datasets for facilities, utilities, pavements, environmental assets, and real-property portfolios.
• Support mapping for Activity Management Plans and prepare geospatial products for infrastructure planning.
• Transfer real-property and engineering documentation from Navy systems into Air Force systems (ACES, NexGen IT).
• Validate and migrate Navy GeoBase data into Air Force systems.
• Identify discrepancies between Navy and Air Force datasets by comparing facility identifiers and coordinates.
• Perform quality checks on geospatial datasets and correct topology errors and missing metadata.
• Verify SDSFIE 4.x, Air Force GeoBase schemas, and CEDF rulesets compliance.
• Organize GeoBase and SharePoint repositories following version-control and data-update procedures.
• Create maps, basemaps, layer packages, mapbooks, and other geospatial products for civil engineering operations.
• Support data imports across GeoBase, ACES, NexGen IT, and Sustainment Management System tools.
• Assist with Pavement Condition Index surveys and related documentation.
• Document data-status summaries and map-revision logs.
• Prepare site maps for DD Form 1391 packages and emergency response documentation.
• Support routine data requests and stakeholder meetings.
