Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE) supports military installations and federal agencies nationwide. We are seeking a GIS Technician (Entry‑Level) to support the 647 CES at Joint Base Pearl Harbor‑Hickam, Hawaii, focusing on GeoBase data maintenance, mapping products, and data integration.

The role includes data updates, spatial analysis, and QA/QC to support Civil Engineering planning and asset management.

Qualifications

Demonstrated working knowledge of GIS software, geospatial data management, mapping, and spatial analysis.
Ability to maintain accurate GIS records, create mapping products, and perform basic data QA/QC.
Must be able to successfully complete the Tier 1 background investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.
Minimum 3 years of GIS experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining and updating installation GeoBase data in accordance with geospatial data standards.
Create and update GIS maps and data layers supporting facility inventories and infrastructure.
Support integration of GIS data with Sustainment Management Systems such as BUILDER and PAVER and with NexGen IT.
Perform routine GIS data QA/QC and correct spatial-data discrepancies.
Provide mapping and spatial-analysis support for Civil Engineering project planning and Installation Development Plan activities.
Assist with development of constraint maps and planning data layers for stakeholders.
