Job summary

GeoAcuity is seeking a Database Engineer to design and implement enterprise database solutions for a major Esri GIS project. You will work with customers to translate business needs into robust data management strategies, ensuring security and performance across the engagement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on database design, administration, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust database solutions to support mission-critical applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment.
• Configure and maintain database environments including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies (query optimization, indexing strategies).
• Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments.
• Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects.
