INCATech LLC is seeking an experienced Database Engineer to join our onsite team supporting enterprise database design and GIS-enabled workflows. Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA.
• Familiarity with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security.
• Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows.
• Knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and/or Windows environments.
• Exposure to geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and nontechnical project managers or customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission‑critical applications
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment
• Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor and tune database performance using industry‑standard tools and methodologies (such as query optimization, indexing strategies)
• Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments
• Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects
