West Virginia University Health System is seeking an on-site Vice President and General Counsel to lead the legal affairs of Camden-Clark Health Services, Inc. (CCHS) and its subsidiaries.

This role reports to WVUHS Legal Services’ Chief Legal Officer and collaborates with AVPs, Associate General Counsels, and external counsel. The GC oversees risk management, contracts, credentialing, licensing, and day-to-day legal operations, while aligning with corporate goals and compliance.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Active WV Bar membership or eligibility.
• Minimum five years of substantial experience in contracts and related legal work.

Responsabilidades

• Serves as Associate General Counsel of WVUHS.
• Serves as on-site General Counsel of CCHS with support from WVUHS Legal Services.
• Oversees on-site legal affairs for CCHS and subsidiaries, including risk, contracts, and licensing.
• Assists WVUHS Litigation Counsel on malpractice, employment, and other lawsuits.
• Oversees selection and oversight of outside counsel for CCHS matters.
• Keeps up-to-date on developments in the law and educates Boards and leadership.
