Job summary

FiberGlobal is seeking a hands-on Furniture Development Designer to advance Monarch by Fiber Global furniture concepts. You will translate sketches and requirements into robust 3D CAD models, working closely with design, engineering, and manufacturing to drive prototyping and production readiness.

The role emphasizes practical construction knowledge, test feedback, and cross-functional collaboration to refine product dimensions, hardware integration, and assembly details.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Product Design, Mechanical Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software: SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo, or comparable tools.
• Ability to translate design intent into practical CAD solutions.
• Understanding of physical product construction and manufacturing.
• Reading and creating technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into detailed 3D CAD models.
• Develop and refine product dimensions, structures, and assembly details.
• Prepare designs for prototyping, testing, and manufacturing review.
• Update CAD models based on feedback from design, engineering, or manufacturing.
• Create technical drawings and part information as needed.
• Evaluate design solutions for fit, tolerances, and manufacturability.
• Participate in prototype reviews and physical product evaluation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to design-for-manufacturing improvements while preserving design intent.
• Maintain organized CAD files and documentation.
• Support additional product-development initiatives as needed.
