Job summary

Fiber Global, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Furniture Development Designer to support the development and refinement of Monarch by Fiber Global furniture products.

You will translate design concepts into 3D CAD, collaborate across design, engineering, and manufacturing, and contribute to prototyping and design-for-manufacturing while ensuring buildability and attention to detail. This role emphasizes practical CAD execution over rendering, requiring strong collaboration with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in industrial/product design or related field.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo.
• Ability to translate design concepts into practical CAD solutions.
• Understanding of physical product construction and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and create technical drawings.
• Portfolio required.

Responsibilities

• Translate design concepts, sketches, dimensions, references, and product requirements into detailed 3D CAD models.
• Develop and refine product dimensions, structures, connections, hardware integration, and assembly details.
• Support preparation of designs for prototyping, testing, and manufacturing review.
• Update CAD models based on design, engineering, or testing feedback.
• Assist with technical drawings, dimensions, part information, and other documentation.
• Evaluate design solutions for fit, assembly, tolerances, and manufacturability.
• Participate in prototype reviews and physical product evaluation when required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to resolve design issues.
• Contribute to design-for-manufacturing improvements while preserving design intent.
• Maintain organized CAD files and documentation.
