Job summary

Coastal Recovery in Myrtle Beach, SC, seeks an Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our on-site team. This full-time role supports adults in SUD treatment through individual and group counseling within PHP and IOP levels, with emphasis on trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in Counseling or related field, SC LPC/LMFT/LISW-CP/LAC license, and ADC credential or eligibility, and demonstrate strong documented assessment and planning abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Active SC licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LISW-CP, or LAC in good standing.
• Active ADC credential or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to adults in SUD treatment.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM-aligned treatment plans.
• Document ongoing progress and maintain compliant records.
• Facilitate evidence-based group programming on relapse prevention and coping skills.
• Collaborate with medical providers, case managers, and peer support staff.
