Job summary

Express Scripts is seeking a Fulfillment Staff Pharmacist for our on-site St. Louis, MO center. You will oversee technicians, ensure compliance with standards, and verify technician-prepared items in a high-volume setting.

You will open/close the pharmacy during production hours, handle liquid orders, and train staff while maintaining quality, customer service, and regulatory adherence in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D degree.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Current Missouri pharmacist license in good standing.
• Advanced problem solving skills and collaboration with other departments.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
• Flexibility to work peak hours and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Replenish automated counting equipment.
• Perform product verification of technician prepared items.
• Address orders with patient-specific special handling requests.
• Direct supervision of technicians in all areas of the pharmacy.
• Open, close, and secure the pharmacy during production hours.
• Fill liquid orders requiring pharmacist dispensing.
• Maintain quality and efficiency; adhere to state/federal regulations.
• Train pharmacists/technicians; back up other pharmacists as needed.
