Job summary

The Cigna Group's Evernorth Health Services seeks an onsite Fulfillment Staff Pharmacist in St. Louis, MO to ensure compliance with regulations and supervise technicians. You will participate in 4x10 shifts (Sun, Mon, Thu, Fri) from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM CST and support peak volume times.

Licensed Missouri pharmacist with ACPE degree and 1 year of experience preferred; strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication required for efficient operations.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy graduate with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
• Current active Missouri pharmacist license in good standing
• Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration with other departments
• Excellent written and oral communication

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Replenish automated counting equipment.
• Perform product verification of technician prepared items.
• Address orders with patient specific handling requests.
• Direct supervision of technicians working in all areas of the pharmacy.
• Opening, closing, and securing of pharmacy during production hours.
• Fill liquid orders requiring pharmacist dispensing.
• Maintain quality and efficiency expectations.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations surrounding pharmacy practice.
• Training of other pharmacists and/or technicians in functions.
• Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.

Job description

This is an onsite position in our St. Louis, MO fulfillment center and is not remote.

Available Shifts (4x10): Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday - 5AM-3:30PM CST

POSITION SUMMARY

The Fulfillment Staff Pharmacist monitors and assures compliance to State and Federal Rules and Regulations, FDA requirements, manufacturer contractual Adverse Event and Product Complaint clinical requirements and completes general Product Verification Checks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
• Current active Missouri pharmacist license in good standing.
• Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
• Strong focus on customer service, quality and accuracy.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines.
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times.
