Job summary

X4 Engineering is seeking a Laboratory Operations Manager for its Lancaster, PA food testing lab. This fully on-site role requires relocation assistance for the right candidate and leads a team to achieve KPIs and financial goals while ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and related food-safety standards.

Responsibilities include hiring and developing lab personnel and enforcing QMS documentation, SOPs, and test methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business-related discipline.
• 5+ years' supervisory experience in a food testing laboratory environment.
• Expertise with PCR, ELISA, and cultural confirmation of foodborne pathogens including Salmonella, Listeria, and E. coli O157:H7.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lab operations and personnel, including performance against KPIs and financial goals
• Ensure continued ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and other standards pertaining to food safety
• Oversee the interviewing, evalutation, and eventual hiring of new lab personnel
• Enforce all QMS documentation including the Quality Manual, SOPs, and applicable test methods
