Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an on-site Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Teterboro, NJ. You will service and repair aircraft, troubleshoot systems, and perform inspections across mechanical and hydraulic domains.

The role supports either the TEB hub in NJ or HPN in NY and requires a high school diploma with an FAA Airframe & Powerplant license. West Star offers benefits from day one and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and an Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• Valid driver's license and/or passport is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with aircraft systems/components.
• Defuel aircraft.
• Remove and install engines.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Move aircraft and assist with performance runs and taxying.
• Maintain and repair the shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Notify Lead Mechanic of any problems with parts, materials, workmanship, or airworthiness.
• Provide detailed progress reports to the Lead Mechanic for shift turnover.
• Tag aircraft components, parts, and panels and store them properly.
