Job summary

Ruan is seeking an on-site Transportation Supervisor to lead a fleet of truck drivers, ensuring DOT compliance and the efficient movement of our customer's freight while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes supervising a team, planning routes, scheduling loads, and using transportation management systems, with duties including payroll, billing, and safety training to support reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in transportation or related environment.
• Experience leading a transportation team of drivers and office staff.
• Experience with multiple software systems; strong Excel and routing/dispatch skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of drivers and staff per policy and laws.
• Direct and schedule driver work; plan routes to maximize utilization.
• Develop daily delivery plans and coordinate loads, equipment and backhauls.
• Resolve delivery and scheduling issues through timely communication with customers and drivers.
• Handle payroll, billing, and driver counseling; use TMS for data capture.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA and company rules; promote safety.
