Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is looking for a field-based technician to service a diverse fleet, perform complex diagnostics, and carry out preventive maintenance at customer sites in the Seattle area.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, ensure safety standards, and document all work on a handheld tablet. The role requires hands-on diesel/heavy equipment repair skills, DOT compliance experience, and the ability to travel to various job sites with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–4 years of fleet experience with diesel or heavy/medium-duty fleets.
• Five years of Auto/Truck or Bus mechanical repair experience preferred.
• Experience complying with local DOT requirements for Medium/Heavy Trucks.
• Proficient with fleet management systems and basic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on steering, electrical, cooling, braking and drivetrains.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and test drives to verify repairs.
• Install, program, replace, and verify telematics devices.
• Record time and parts on the work tablet and forms.
• Respond to road calls and perform on-the-road repairs.
