La Tienda - The Best of Spain seeks a seasoned Controller to lead accounting operations, close processes, and maintain internal controls in a fast-growing e-commerce environment.

Based in Toano, Virginia, this on-site leadership role reports to the CFO and oversees one direct report, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive accurate financial reporting and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years corporate accounting experience in a for-profit environment.
• Minimum of 5 years in Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, or VP of Finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading monthly close and financial reporting.
• Proven leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Review and oversee sales tax filings for compliance.
• Oversee accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices.
• Maintain GL integrity and supporting schedules; provide financial analysis.
