Job summary

TKC Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Field Tech to perform walk-throughs at facilities, repairing or replacing components on a suite of custom configured network devices in support of multi-year state and county contracts.

This role includes installing equipment at new sites and handling add-on components for inmate phone systems. The position requires an AA degree or equivalent, knowledge of T-1 and analog circuits, strong network diagnostics skills, and excellent written/verbal communication.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience.
• T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
• Excellent working knowledge of multiple network disciplines and advanced diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop good working relationships with facility personnel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Professional attitude in dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Walk-through of the facility to repair or replace components on a suite of network devices for inmate phone systems.
• Installations at new sites and assembling network equipment for the inmate phone system.
• Perform other duties as determined by business needs.

About This Position

The Field Tech will perform a walk-through of the facility to repair or replace any components on a suite of custom configured network devices in support of multi-year state and county contracts. Field Techs perform installations at the new site. This requires putting together a significant amount of network equipment for the inmate phone system and associated add on components in support of the contract. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.

What You'll Need

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of multiple network disciplines and perform advanced network diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
• Must be able to develop good working relationships with facility personnel.
• Service and maintain inmate phone systems at correctional facilities within an assigned region.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong team oriented business skill.
• Professional attitude in dealing with customers.
