Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Field Service Technician to support wireless communications, public safety radio systems, security infrastructure, and mission-critical tech. The role is on-site in Chantilly, VA with regional travel to customer sites as needed.

You will maintain and optimize existing wireless systems for commercial and public-sector environments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades for UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems, while

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in wireless communications, electronics, RF systems, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, military communications, or related technical environments.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining two-way radio systems, antennas, cabling, and wireless communications equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain two-way radio and wireless communications equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system testing, equipment upgrades, and component replacement on existing communications infrastructure.
• Support UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz radio systems, including radios, repeaters, dispatch consoles, antennas, and related communications equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation while providing professional customer support at field locations.
