Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to support wireless communications, public-safety radio systems, security infrastructure, and mission-critical technology. This on-site role is based in Chantilly, VA with regional travel to customer and field sites.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain two-way radio and wireless communications equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, system testing, equipment upgrades, and component replacement on existing communications infrastructure
• Support UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz radio systems, including radios, repeaters, dispatch consoles, antennas, and related communications equipment
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation while providing professional customer support at field locations

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to support a company focused on wireless communications, public safety radio systems, security infrastructure, and mission-critical communications technology. This position is on-site in Chantilly, VA with regional travel to customer and field sites as needed. The Field Service Technician will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of existing wireless communication systems for commercial and public-sector environments. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact projects that support public safety agencies, data centers, industrial facilities, and critical communications networks.

Responsibilities for the Field Service Technician include:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain two-way radio and wireless communications equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, system testing, equipment upgrades, and component replacement on existing communications infrastructure
• Support UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz radio systems, including radios, repeaters, dispatch consoles, antennas, and related communications equipment
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation while providing professional customer support at field locations

Required Qualifications for the Field Service Technician include:

• 3+ years of experience in wireless communications, electronics, RF systems, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, military communications, or related technical environments
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining two-way radio systems, antennas, cabling, and wireless communications equipment
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking principles
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally, including occasional overnight and on-call support

Compensation for the Field Service Technician includes:

• Salary Range: $30.00 - $37.00/hour depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and Sick Leave as required by law
