Job summary

Leppo Rents is seeking skilled Field (Road) Service Technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment at customer sites across Northeast Ohio, with emphasis on the Youngstown area and surrounding regions. You will operate company vehicles, balance safety with top-notch service, and represent Leppo Rents in the field.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical/trade school preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Diesel or heavy equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs in the field.
• Meet or beat projected service times.
• Explain service and repairs to customers professionally.
• Perform equipment inspections to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Test, inspect, and verify repair effectiveness.
• Disassemble and inspect equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Identify required parts and coordinate with the parts department.
• Prepare detailed service reports and communicate with dispatch.
• Keep company vehicle and tools clean and in good condition.
• Operate equipment safely and stay current on required certifications.
• Participate in training and safety procedures.
• Represent Leppo Rents with pride at every job site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
