Job summary

Motion is seeking a Service Technician to repair, service, and build standard and custom hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems on-site in Eden Prairie, MN. You will disassemble components, diagnose issues, prepare parts lists, fabricate and weld as needed, and test equipment for performance.

You will assist customers by answering technical questions, provide quotes or take orders, and may work overtime or weekends as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics and schematics diagrams.

Responsibilities

Disassembles, cleans, and inspects system components for repair.
Diagnoses system components and recommends a solution to the customer.
Prepares job form listing parts and works necessary to perform the repair.
Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts and components.
Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Assembles new and repaired equipment.
Tests repaired equipment for performance and prepares for shipment or long-term storage.
Assist customers by answering specific technical questions to help the customer understand the work to be done.
May provide quotes or take customer orders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
