Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Service Technician in Eden Prairie, MN to repair, service, and build standard and custom hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems under direct supervision.

The role requires reading hydraulic schematics, strong communication, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate shop equipment safely, either independently or in a team environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong communication skills required.
Basic mechanical knowledge.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
Ability to operate shop equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Disassembles, cleans, and inspects components for repair.
Diagnoses components and recommends a solution to the customer.
Prepares job forms listing parts and work required.
Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts and components.
Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Assembles new and repaired equipment.
Tests repaired equipment and prepares for shipment or storage.
Assists customers by answering technical questions to help understanding the work.
May provide quotes or take customer orders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Performs maintenance on assigned customer products in the service shop.
