Job summary

CTOS is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to diagnose and repair specialized utility equipment, including bucket trucks, cranes, service trucks, and related units. You must have tools, a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be willing to work overtime and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and CAN bus systems in the field or at the service center, reading manuals, and adhering to dealer and factory standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five years of related experience (Shop Tech and Field Tech).
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class B preferred.
• Must have your own tools.
• Proficient in documentation using software and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair field equipment including bucket trucks, cranes, and service trucks.
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Read manuals and repair orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Test and road-check vehicles; document service time and parts costs.
• Communicate with Service Manager and customers to minimize downtime.
• Travel beyond local area as needed and attend safety training.
