Job summary

Mattson Technology, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Field Service Group. The role provides on-site installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repairs of complex plasma and processing equipment at customer sites.

You will travel to customer locations, build strong relationships, perform calibrations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance, and report on activities. Five years in field service and an electronics associate degree are preferred; safety standards

Qualifications

Five years experience in a field service engineer role dealing directly with customers, preferably in semiconductor industry.
Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience in the electronics field.
Ensures all safety requirements are satisfied and current as per local and corporate requirements.

Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment at customer sites and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems from block diagrams.
Perform equipment upgrades and work independently to complete tasks.
Develop strong customer relationships at multiple levels within the customer organization.
Manage customer expectations and day-to-day service activities at assigned sites.
Coordinate with end users to schedule work tasks and report on activities.
Provide data for reports and communicate equipment issues to stakeholders.
