Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic for Charlotte, NC to diagnose and complete less complex engine repairs at customer sites and in service shops.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to external candidates along with relocation support, competitive pay and benefits. The role requires 3 years driving, a valid license, and DOT/physical requirements; you will use engine diagnostic software, maintain records, and develop product certifications while keeping your own

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• Must pass DOT physical and have clean 5-year MVR.
• Must comply with DOT driving regulations.
• Must be 21+ years old per federal law.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
