Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) for its public sector team to deliver data science pipelines, AI/ML solutions, and enterprise integrations on-site with DoD, IC, and aerospace missions.

You will work directly with mission owners, deploy API-led connections using MuleSoft and Regrello, mentor junior FDEs, and help accelerate mission outcomes while navigating classified and unclassified environments.

Qualifications

8+ years delivering scalable, production-ready data science and integration solutions.
Strong CS/DS background with hands-on engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL.
Extensive experience building AI/ML pipelines and MLOps.
Expertise with enterprise integration platforms (MuleSoft, iPaaS).
Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Regrello, Temporal, Airflow).
Data modeling, processing and analytics on enterprise platforms.
Demonstrated ability to deliver in ambiguous, customer-site environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as forward-deployed technical lead on defense/IC/aerospace engagements.
Architect and implement enterprise integration patterns using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Regrello.
Design and deploy AI/ML solutions and data pipelines for mission-critical scenarios.
Mentor junior FDEs and contribute to playbooks and templates.
Ensure secure, compliant deployment with DoD IL5/IL6 frameworks.
