Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee a renovation on a federal project. This is a 100% on-site role at a project site in Pecos, TX with no remote work available. Immigration sponsorship is limited to TN visa eligibility.

You will lead field staff, coordinate with clients and contractors, manage schedules and costs, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications and government requirements. A strong safety and teamwork mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Ten years of construction experience in CM, CM Representative, Owner's Rep, or Construction Superintendent.
• Experience with renovation projects in federal courthouses involving high-end finishes and multi-trade oversight.
• Knowledge of federal project processes: costs, budgets, change requests, RFIs, submittals, field observation reports.
• Experience with government CM software (SharePoint/ePM/ProjNet) to communicate progress
• Experience using MS Excel for cost estimates and change order negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent relationships with clients, occupants, architects/engineers, and contractors.
• Manage and coordinate inspection staff.
• Manage project schedule from inception to close out.
• Lead on-site project meetings.
• Review contractor work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Review and approve contractor monthly requisitions and invoices.
• Control costs and manage change orders.
• Report on project issues and provide status updates.
