Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco seeks a Family Life Coordinator to keep the department organized, connected, and moving forward. Working with Family Life leadership and program managers, you will coordinate priorities, upcoming programs, and operational needs across Tikvah, Athletics, Youth Recreation, Camp, Dance, Musical Theater, Playdate, Maccabi initiatives and family events.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• At least 2 years of experience in youth programming.
• Outstanding customer service skills in a customer-centric organization.
• Experience designing, creating, managing and implementing schedules, reports, and operational plans.
• Advanced MS Office skills and ability to learn new software.
• Experience working with children ages 3-13; knowledge of child development is a plus.
• Experience in athletics/recreation/camp environments with program facilitation and support.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a shared department calendar and action tracker for upcoming programs, launches, events, deadlines, and staffing.
• Coordinate operational preparation for Family Life programs, including schedules, space reservations, staffing, and equipment.
• Provide active on-site presence during programs, assisting with check-in/out, attendance, and participant questions.
• Support program leadership with registration tasks, transfers, refunds, waitlists, and participant records.
• Ensure staff receive timely schedules, updates, and resources to deliver programs.
