Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician to serve as the on-site lead for daily maintenance operations. You will coordinate workflow, mentor staff, and ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently.

You will perform advanced troubleshooting and multi-trade repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems while maintaining strong safety and compliance standards with vendors and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in facilities or building maintenance in a commercial environment.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Prior experience leading or coordinating maintenance staff preferred.
• Strong communication skills interfacing with leadership, occupants, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Conduct routine facility inspections; identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete complex repairs involving building systems, fixtures, carpentry, and equipment.
• Coordinate specialized trades for major repairs or system replacements as required.
• Serve as the on‑site lead for maintenance technicians and support personnel.
