Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery and building systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while completing work orders in a CMMS and conducting safety inspections.

The role covers lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 2–5+ years of maintenance experience, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical cert preferred.
• 2–5+ years of maintenance or technician experience in similar env.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Lift up to 50–75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills; CMMS experience a plus.
• EPA, HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Complete work orders accurately and timely using a maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Conduct inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Repair or replace faulty components, parts, and systems.
• Support facility upkeep including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies.
• Assist with installation, modification, or upgrades of equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
