Job summary

Management Science Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Facilities Project Manager to lead data center and facilities projects across Pittsburgh-area locations, with on-site requirements and travel between Tarentum and Ross Township offices.

The role emphasizes planning, budgeting, resource coordination, and SOP implementation, requiring eight years of project management experience and strong communication skills to liaise with leadership and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years relevant experience in project planning and project management.
• Experience supporting company owned facilities and/or data centers spaces and corporate offices.
• Knowledge of building systems: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generators and related data center systems.
• Experience forecasting project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Experience managing vendor sourcing and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Strong written and oral communication, including technical and maintenance discussions.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of building, electrical and fire codes (NFPA).
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• PMP, FMP, or CFM certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities and operational data center projects from planning through completion; identify, communicate and solve problems; set project goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, scopes of work, and budgets.
• Oversee project execution, track milestones, manage change orders, and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate resources for facility and data center projects; prioritize work with employees and subcontractors.
• Meet with facilities group to discuss plans, deadlines, issues and new work; set priorities and balance resources; use metrics to evaluate productivity.
• Escalate issues requiring senior level attention to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare and deliver regular project status updates, budget reports, and post-project documentation to leadership.
• Set standard operating procedures; ensure SOPs and documentation are used by the facilities group.
