Job summary

TST Fab & Machine, LLC. is actively seeking an experienced Fabrication Estimator to join our Norfolk-based team. You will review RFQs, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for metal fabrication, machining, welding, and finishing projects.

You will collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality control to ensure estimates reflect capabilities and customer needs, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing estimating and cost development.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with material costs, labor calculations, timelines, and outside processing.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare cost estimates for metal fabrication and machining projects.
• Maintain estimating records and pricing data for bids and quotations.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, and leadership to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
