Job summary

TST Fab & Machine, LLC. in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Fabrication Estimator to join our manufacturing and pre-production team in Norfolk, Virginia.

The ideal candidate will review RFQs, engineering drawings, and customer requirements to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for metal fabrication, machining, and assemblies. You will collaborate with production, purchasing, quality control, and leadership to ensure estimates are aligned with capabilities and project goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing estimating, especially metal fabrication or machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software/ERP.
• Strong math, analytics, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Independently review RFQs, drawings, specs, and requirements to prepare estimates.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for fabrication, machining, welding, and assemblies.
• Calculate material quantities, labor hours, tooling, and overhead.
• Ensure estimates reflect capabilities and customer specifications.
