Job summary

Critical Materials Group seeks a Safety and Compliance Officer to lead day-to-day safety, health, and regulatory programs across explosives manufacturing. You will perform on-the-floor inspections, enforce procedures, respond to incidents, deliver training, and maintain safety records under the Director of Safety and Compliance.

This role requires coordinating with production teams, ensuring ATF and OSHA compliance, and advancing a strong safety culture on site at the Talpa, TX campus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Safety/Health or related field; Bachelor's preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily/shift-based safety walkthroughs of manufacturing areas and storage facilities; document findings.
• Verify engineering controls, exclusion zones, grounding, and Q-D requirements.
• Exercise stop-work authority on imminent hazards and escalate to supervision.
• Respond to incidents and support investigations; draft incident reports.
• Maintain ATF A&D records and DSHP/SSHP documentation.
• Support OSHA and DOT compliance efforts and recordkeeping.
