Job summary

Heritage Bank is seeking an IT systems engineer to join our Information Technology team on-site in the Tacoma area. The role focuses on maintaining stable, secure, and efficient IT systems including servers, messaging, security, and virtualization.

You will monitor performance, apply patches, and serve as a technical resource for staff, while ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. A competitive salary plus benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of systems and network management in a Windows environment.
• Banking/financial services experience preferred.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, MCSA preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent internal/external service and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement enterprise systems including servers, messaging, security, IP telephony, backup and virtualization.
• Monitor system and network usage and capacity; implement changes as needed.
• Serve as a technical SME for IT staff and leadership.
• Apply patches and upgrades to infrastructure components.
• Design and maintain backup and redundancy strategies for physical/virtual environments.
• Develop training and documentation for staff and end users as required.
• Conduct security audits to ensure policy compliance.
• Lead small to medium IT projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable banking laws and internal policies.
