Job summary

ONWARD SEARCH is partnering with a tech-driven client to fill a Technician role based in Needham, MA. This temporary assignment spans roughly 10 to 26 weeks and is on-site, supporting design, testing, calibration, and maintenance of engineering components.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with testing instruments, gauges, and mechanical tools, plus the ability to document results clearly and assist with product development and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex testing instruments, gauges, and mechanical tools.
• Ability to perform electrical repairs and calibration tasks reliably.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation and drawing preparation.
• Familiarity with testing protocols and equipment maintenance.
• Prior mechanical or electrical technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and creation of technical components and equipment layouts.
• Conduct testing and quality assessments on materials and instruments.
• Perform equipment calibration, mechanical repairs, and electrical adjustments.
• Monitor ongoing product development processes and maintain documentation.
• Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying issues and proposing solutions.
