Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Part-Time Employment Trainer to help facilitate participants in learning new job duties at their work sites. The role emphasizes patience, strong communication, and supporting individuals with disabilities in their employment goals.

In this position you will work roughly 15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and shifts most often occurring Monday to Friday during the day, with occasional weekends, evenings, and nights.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Basic understanding of issues affecting people with disabilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office; access to non-public transportation with required insurance.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with participants at their work site.
• Help participants learn work skills such as punctuality, appropriate dress, and following directions to their employment goals.
• Provide on-the-job support by helping them adjust to a new worksite and guiding them in learning duties.
• Occasionally provide transportation for participants to work and assist with transportation safety.
